Bühl bei Aarberg (or simply Bühl) is a municipality in the Seeland administrative district in the canton of Bern in Switzerland.

Bühl is first mentioned in 1261 as Bule.[3]
Bühl bei Aarberg has an area, as of 2009[update], of 2.98 km2 (1.15 sq mi). Of this area, 2.65 km2 (1.02 sq mi) or 88.9% is used for agricultural purposes, while 0.1 km2 (25 acres) or 3.4% is forested. Of the rest of the land, 0.21 km2 (0.081 sq mi) or 7.0% is settled (buildings or roads) and 0.02 km2 (4.9 acres) or 0.7% is unproductive land.[4]
Of the built up area, housing and buildings made up 4.7% and transportation infrastructure made up 2.3%. 1.3% of the total land area is heavily forested and 2.0% is covered with orchards or small clusters of trees. Of the agricultural land, 76.2% is used for growing crops and 11.1% is pastures, while 1.7% is used for orchards or vine crops.[4]
It is located on a hill on the edge of the Berner Seeland. Its neighboring municipalities in a clockwise direction from the north are Hermrigen, Kappelen, Walperswil and Epsach.
Bühl has a population (as of 31 December 2010) of 419.[1] As of 2007[update], 2.9% of the population was made up of foreign nationals. Over the last 10 years the population has grown at a rate of 9.6%. Most of the population (as of 2000[update]) speaks German (95.1%), with French being second most common (2.6%) and Portuguese being third (0.5%).
In the 2007 election the most popular party was the SVP which received 48% of the vote. The next three most popular parties were the SPS (13.9%), the FDP (13.5%) and the Green Party (10.6%).
The age distribution of the population (as of 2000[update]) is children and teenagers (0–19 years old) make up 21.1% of the population, while adults (20–64 years old) make up 64.3% and seniors (over 64 years old) make up 14.7%. The entire Swiss population is generally well educated. In Bühl about 77.2% of the population (between age 25-64) have completed either non-mandatory upper secondary education or additional higher education (either University or a Fachhochschule).
Bühl has an unemployment rate of 0.6%.
